Former Super Eagles forward Sone Aluko has officially retired from professional football. The announcement came during the Ipswich Town end of season dinner, where Aluko, aged 35, expressed his contentment with ending his career at the club. I couldn’t think of a better place to end my career, Aluko stated, praising the club for its exceptional environment and the privilege of being part of the team.
Despite limited playtime under Ipswich manager Harry Clarke, Aluko described his final year as the best of his career, highlighting the strong bonds formed with his teammates.
